To practice yoga is to practice the union between the self and the spirit. This fits into one of the translations of the Sanskrit word yoga to mean ‘joining’ and ‘union’. Yoga is a combination of exercises for the physical self and for mental peace of mind. It improves health for your mind, body and spirit.

Yoga is a popular form of exercise that improves strength, flexibility and mobility throughout the entire body. but can also help reduce stress and increase mindfulness. The practice of yoga is far more than just a way to work out and shape up. It is a philosophy, a philosophy that originated in India and has been practiced around the world for nearly 26,000 years.

Traditionally yoga is quite often partnered with a meditation practice which is also offered by our practitioners at Zuma Health.
